John the evangelist is traditionally identified with the Apostle John, mentioned throughout the text as the disciple that Jesus loved. JohnÔÇÖs gospel is remarkable for its prologue on the Word made flesh and JesusÔÇÖ great priestly prayer at the Last Supper.
