These are not the reflections of a saint or even a theologian: this is not a helpful work of devotion and spirituality, or an outline of Catholic belief, or a robustly controversial apologetic. I offer nothing more than one man's reflections upon his own experience of 'being a catholic' -- and not a particularly good catholic -- throughout a mostly fortunate lifetime, and in particular through the changes and confusions of these last few years.
