This is a small but powerful book, which offers a series of reflections on the doctrines underlying the Liturgy as outlined in the Constitution on the Liturgy and also contains a wide range of Bible Vigils, which are intended to increase our knowledge and love of the Word of God.

The reflections include topics such as events in the liturgical year, the sacraments, the role of worship and as a whole represent a deep and thorough theology of the liturgy. The majority of the book is devoted to Bible Vigils which are scripture-based liturgies to be prayed before Feast Days and important events such as ordinations, marriages and baptisms.
