I Shall Serve You: The Life of Saint Camillus de Lellis

Stunning docu-drama of St. Camillus of Lellis, a 16th century soldier and gambler who would become the patron saint of doctors, nurses, and the sick. Hospital work in Rome opened Camillus' eyes to the deplorable care which the poor received; with the approval of his spiritual director and confessor, popular local priest Philip Neri, he established a religious community to care for patients, and was himself ordained in 1654. The Order's care was so exemplary that the Camillians were praised for ridding Rome of Bubonic plague, and Camillus was hailed as the "Saint of Rome."
