Absent reveals the importance of love, respect and acceptance that young men and women desperately need in order to grow up emotionally healthy, and the results of its absence: anger, alienation, and a painful, unfulfilled longing.

Justin Hunt interviews some powerful social experts like John Eldridge and Richard Rohr, as well as legendary James Hetfield of the heavy metal band Metallica, five-time world boxing champion Johnny Tapia, and model, actress and mother of four boys, Robin Decker, to mention a few.
