As a spiritually empty ÔÇ£career womanÔÇØ, (a much sought-after journalist and at one time a speech-writer to President Bush) Colleen had to wrestle with the cultural issues of our time as well as the personal crosses of her fatherÔÇÖs dementia and her own infertility. It was through the example, writings and companionship of six great female saints: Teresa of Avila, Therese of Lisieux, Faustina of Poland, Edith Stein of Germany, Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Mary of Nazareth, that she rebuilt her trust in God and his divine providence in her life.
